1.95 Carat Natural Brazilian Alexandrite and Diamond Ring, 18K 

An alexandrite is prized for its natural ability to shift colors from a vibrant bluish-green under daylight to an alluring reddish-purple under incandescent light. Originally known as 'Emerald by day and Ruby by Night', the Russian source depleted centuries ago, new sources have been discovered throughout the world yet none rival the quality coming out of Brazil. Brazilian quality stones are known for their strong color-change ability and their clarity; they are true marvels to gem connoisseurs and jewelry fanatics alike.

Crafted in 18kt yellow gold, this ring features a beautiful 1.95 ct. oval shape natural Brazilian alexandrite. An additional assortment of meticulously selected round alexandrites weighing a total 0.87 ct. are set along the outermost border of the ring in a scalloped fashion. Each stone was meticulously hand selected in order to match the hues and degree of color change of the center stone. Twinkling oval shaped diamonds are set between the outer frame and the center stone for a contrasting appeal. The total diamond weight is 0.74 ct.
