ABOUT THE BOVET FLEURIER COLLECTION
HISTORY
For centuries, Bovet is known for its intricate dial designs and detailing. The Bovet Fleurier collection depicts the historical techniques at their best. The roots of the Bovet Fleurier collection date back to the 1940s when chronographs were slowly taking the center stage in the watchmaking world.
ESSENCE
From the sleek yet elegant silhouette of Miss Audrey to the 19Thirty’s perfectly crafted guilloche dial, the Bovet Fleurier collection hangs over the luxurious segment of the watchmaking industry with a sensuous stance. With exhibit case back and complex complications inside the Bovet Fleurier collection, the timepieces are not just a piece of art but a piece of mechanical superiority too. The straps are made with high-quality leather but what sets the timepieces under this collection is the addition of the patented Amadeo convertible system, keeping the tradition of pocket watches alive. To support the Amadeo, the crown is fitted over a 12 o’clock marker.
DESIGN
The dial area inside the Bovet Fleurier collection is an amalgamation of intricately crafted patterns, exhibiting a magical profundity that immediately beguiles on making its acquaintance for the first time. The two-part construction of the dial consists of two circlets, interacting together and is reminiscent of a Venn diagram in series such as the 19Thirty. The upper dial displays hours and minutes, whilst the lower dial displays small seconds and overlaps its larger neighbour. Whereas, in series such as Miss Audrey and Virtuoso the hand-painted dials are similar to the Dimier collection but portray a story of the brand’s centuries-long tradition of the Fleurisanne technique.

DESCRIPTION
The machinery inside a watch that keeps things ticking is called the movement or a calibre. A synonym of size, the word ‘calibre’, first used as a watchmaking term in 1715, originally referred to the build of a watch movement—the layout, dimensions, shape and size of the wheels, barrels, bridges and so on. Today the word is a substitute for movement, the complete mechanism with the mainspring, escape wheel, bridges, gear train, and other components, including the rotor in automatic watches. Calibres are either mechanical or quartz-based. While the latter are powered mostly by a battery, the former can either be manual winding, or self-would by an oscillating mass or rotor.
