A semi-professional race car driver in his early life, Laurent Ferrier started his eponymous brand in 2010 to produce luxury watches in limited numbers of about 150 exclusive pieces annually. His designs are extremely clean and sophisticated in nature, and three, including the Galet Classic Tourbillon Double Spiral, the Galet Square, and the Galet Annual Calendar School Piece, have won awards at the Grand Prix de Haute Horlogerie de Genève event.

History of Laurent Ferrier

Laurent Ferrier grew up around watches, as his family’s apartment was above his father’s workshop. To get to his home, he had to walk past his father’s watchmaking bench. He is the third generation of watchmakers in the Ferrier family, and his son, Christian, who is a movement constructor, is the fourth generation.

Progressively, sustainably, Laurent Ferrier’s name is becoming established in the circle of independent Haute Horlogerie. The man embodies the brand; his timepieces embody his workshops, which result from a watchmaking career already spanning almost 40 years.
