Blancpain Air Command Flyback Reference AC02-12B40-63B, a titanium automatic wristwatch with chronograph
Description
Description
Blancpain launched the Air Command Flyback Chronograph in 2019 and quickly sold out. The Air Command was originally developed in the 1950s and was considered one of Blancpain's top collections as well as one of the rarest. The chronograph flyback offers a countdown-type rotating bezel, unlike the traditional chronographs which require three presses to stop, reset and restart the mechanism. The flyback enables the owner to set a new timing start with a single press. In addition, the tachymeter printed on the dial is to measure ground speed for those wearers who travel over a fixed period of time.
The watch is in new and excellent condition. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
